From December 13, 2024 to January 16, 2025, Galerie Minsky presents a wide selection of drawings, watercolors, gouaches, and oils on paper by Leonor Fini. Leonor Fini’s works on paper encompass both her free drawings and her highly diverse literary illustrations, as well as her designs for theatre, ballet, and cinema. A brilliant illustrator who took on the challenging works of Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, and Baudelaire, she earned the praise of the greatest poets, translators, and critics of her time (Yves Bonnefoy, Alberto Moravia, Georges Bataille, etc.).
Among the works presented in this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to discover drawings directly from her Estate, never before exhibited. Certain exceptional pieces, such as a wash tribute to Jean Genet, represent the pinnacle of her art on paper.
